Full description
This lovely Padauk wood rollerball pen is hand crafted in my studio by the sea on Orkney.
Padauk wood comes from central Africa, and is typically used to make flooring, furniture and musical instruments. The colour of this wood can vary from a pale orange to deep dark red-brown, and this pen sits somewhere in the middle. It has a dark colour and subtle grain markings and is lovely wood to work with, finishing to a perfectly smooth surface.
The pen uses a Schmidt 888 refill which has very quick drying black ink, making the pen ideal for left-handed writers. Both finials, pocket clip and centre band are gold plated, and the finials also feature black accents. The cap has a triple-lead thread, which makes removing and replacing very quick, and the gold plated tip section unscrews to change the refill - take care to not loose the small spring inside the body of the pen.
For those who like to know, this pen weighs 38g, is 134mm long with the cap on, and 125mm long with it removed for writing.
The price includes postage and packing.
