Full description
This lovely little wall clock is hand crafted from a piece of holly wood cut from a tree that was felled from a neighbours garden over 12 years ago. Designed and created in my studio at Clairdale, Sanday, the clock has a shallow bowl turning to a wide, convex rim giving the clock a gentle, soft appearance. The grain swirls around the clock face and has a natural split feature, created by the tree where a small branch grew out of the trunk. The numerals are hand crafted from oak veneer, with the cardinal hours (3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock) marked with slightly longer strikes than the intermediate hours. The hands are black painted metal, and the clock has an incredibly quiet ticking quartz movement that uses one AA battery (not supplied). There is a wall hanger built in to the top of the movement, so all you need to do is find a nice place in your home for it to live. The clock is 135mm diameter, and 35mm deep.
The price includes post and packing.
