Sweet lovers love the spring! A romantic springtime quote from Shakespeare's 'It Was A Lover And His Lass', perhaps best known for its 'hey nonny no' refrain, hand stamped into a generously sized spoon in a pretty heart shape filled with hearts, flowers, bees and foliage. Give this as a gift to your lover. Or your lass. Either way it's a perfect Valentine's Day present and will last WAY longer than chocolates or flowers. Although those would probably be appreciated too. It would also be a lovely gift for a springtime wedding or anniversary.
It's an oval dessertspoon measuring approximately 7.5" (19m) long with a floral patterned handle - the pattern is 'Silver Rose' by Viners of Sheffield.
This listing is for ONE handstamped spoon. You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. The lettering is coloured with a non-toxic water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.
Please note this is a vintage spoon and although it's in good condition it has a little residual tarnish (possibly removeable with further polishing) and some hairline scratches and wear marks in its original silver plating. Please study the photos carefully. If you were looking for a mirror-finished brand new spoon, this isn't one. Just so you know.
