Flame your Christmas Pudding in style with this hand stamped vintage 18cm dessertspoon with a monogrammed 'fiddle pattern' handle and the words BRANDY for the PUD in the bowl. It's a good solid spoon that you can nestle into the top of the pud or even hold directly over a candle flame to get the brandy nice and warm and easy to ignite. Yes, I have tested one of these and no, neither the flame nor the brandy adversely affected the ink in the lettering (which is water-based and non-toxic anyway, just to be on the safe side).
This is a vintage spoon - in fact I think it's probably antique - so it does show signs of age and wear. You will receive the one shown in the photos so have a good look before you purchase. Although as you are going to set light to it I don't imagine it matters that it isn't mirror-finished and brand new! A gentle hand wash with soap and water after use, and maybe a drop of silver polish once a year, will keep it looking as shiny as it's ever going to look.
