Full description
We use tumbled beach glass to make our mosaic sun catchers. The glass comes from old broken bottles which have been tossed by the waves, so the pieces are rounded and a bit curved. This gives our sun catchers a unique three dimensional quality. The curved mosaic pieces pick up the light in different ways, which we have tried to capture in the photos.
The sun catcher is 13 cm across. It comes with a length of transparent cord.
Our sun catchers are individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each sun catcher is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The sun catcher will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
