Full description
A wonderful characteristic of beach glass is that it comes in many shapes and shades. These bring interest and subtlety to our sun catchers, as each glass chip is different. Beach glass comes mainly from old bottles, so the pieces are slightly bent, as well as being rounded by the waves, giving the sun catcher a three dimensional quality. The back of this charming little sun catcher is the base of an old bottle. We have tumbled the glass so it is smooth and finely frosted.
The sun catcher is 5 cm across. It comes with a length of transparent cord.
Our sun catchers are individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each sun catcher is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The sun catcher will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
