I was at an art fair minding my table, I had some things with me to work on while waiting for customers and this was one of the things that emerged. I rather like it's simplicity. I'd had this bead for quite a long time so it was time to do something with it.

Full description
A simple brooch in a heart shape made by winding silver wire through a vintage lampwork bead.
The wire winds around and through the bead creating an outline heart and then creating the pin at the back.
The bead is opaque white glass with faint touches of blush pink on it's surface. The brooch measures 5.5cm at it's widest point and 5cm tall from the top of the heart to the bottom of the bead.
Quite dramatic but very simple in design, this brooch would look nice on a coat or a dress, it isn't very heavy and the pin extends the whole length of the bead so it is well supprted.
Designed by Ley Holloway in Ilfracombe
