This Floral Ceramic Heart, has been inspired by a combination of Folk Art, Folklore and my love of nature and plants.
After forming the initial clay base, the hearts are then decorated with various plants thata re symbolic, seasonal or healing in some way.
Choosing under glaze that echoes the colours of the plant, also enhances the details that the cast has captured.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This Pottery Floral Heart, has been hand cut from a slab of rolled white earthenware clay, before being decorated with press moulded lavender spikes and stems, made from an original cast made from lavender from my own garden.
After careful drying to avoid warping, the hearts receive a first firing, before being layered with thin washes of under glazes, picking out the fine details from the cast plant, creating a low relief, fossil like effect, poured over with a clear glaze, brightening and deepening the colours an a smooth glossy finish after the glaze firing.
This Heart measures approx 15 cm in height, 14 cm in width and a depth of 5 mm.
Strung with a faux suede like, ivory coloured chord, this wall art is ready to hang immediately.
