Full description
This is a walking version of a much loved white cockatiel that has been made using a needle felting technique. Woollen fibres have been sculpted into shape using a barbed felting needle with merino wool fibres in appropriate colours added to the surface and wings and tail added. A silk clay beak, beaded eyes and wool wrapped wire feet complete the bird. He has been mounted on a rustic wooden slice.
This cockatiel measures approximately 24cm (9.5") from head to tail, slightly smaller than life size. The complete ornament (including head tuft) measures approximately 17cm (6.5") tall.

Many hours of work have gone into making this cockatiel as life like as possible. He is fairly robust but will not withstand constant handling or rough treatment and is not suitable as a toy.
