I love Christmas and I love old images, especially of children so, when I saw this napkin, I just had to make something very simple with it, to give the image the starring role.

Full description
An image of two sweet children from a bygone age decorates this little wooden plaque; they are shown inside a garland and border which perhaps hints at a postcard or greetings card origin for this (paper napkin) image.
There is also a Merry Christmas greeting included in the image, which gives voice to their expressions.
The colours of the image (cream and muted green and red) make it feel vintage in nature and I have therefore kept any (distressing) paint effects at a minimum, so as not to detract from the crisp image.
The plaque can be hung on a wall, or also on a cabinet or door knob – or anywhere else you wish.
The plaque is hung by means of a thin green ribbon and is blank on the reverse.
Its size is 12cms x 17cms.
