I love Christmas and decorating the house for Christmas.
As well as having leaves and berries from the garden in a festive display, it is nice to have some wildlife represented, and I find this stag rather eye-catching and therefore ideal.

I have decorated this unscented cream candle with a lovely (paper napkin) image of a rather majestic, in my view, stag.
For this image, I always very carefully cut out and apply the stag with his wonderful antlers, which is painstaking but so worth the result of the crisp image achieved.
On the back of the candle is a pinecone sprig for interest, should the candle be used as a table centrepiece.
Although primarily browns and black, the colours of the stag are strong and give a great contrast to the cream of the candle.
During the napkin decoupage process, using the watery liquid wax glue causes wrinkles, which I love as they make the image seem older and also give a textured feel to the touch.
I have packaged the candle and added a raffia tie so that it might be given as a gift.
The candle is approximately 78mm by 180mm (7" high).
This candle can make an attractive decoration in its own right but, as the images are fixed with wax glue, it is safe to light. BUT please do follow all normal candle safety rules when doing so, including placing the candle on a fireproof dish/holder, out of the reach of children or anything flammable, and never leaving a candle unattended.
