My children and I regularly walk through our local park, which has a lovely avenue of sycamore trees. We enjoy watching the leaves emerge in spring and then fall from the trees in autumn.
The shawl’s name is inspired by the V-shaped stitch pattern that emerges as the shawl grows on the needles; it’s reminiscent of sycamore trees and their beautiful leaves.

Updated in 2021 for Maddie's 5 year anniversary!
Knitted in two strands of gorgeous laceweight yarn held together, Sycamore is a traditional triangular shawl with a lovely geometric lace and cable section. It's knitted from the top down, starting with an innovative bump-free garter tab.
The pattern includes 2 size options (this kit is for the large size), charts (with written equivalent instructions), photographs, a schematic & has been professionally tech edited.
INCLUDED IN THE KIT:
3 x 25g of Jamieson & Smith's 2ply Lace (169m per 25g; 50% lambswool 50% real Shetland Wool)
2 x 25g of Rowan's Kidsilk Haze (210m per 25g; 70% mohair, 30% silk)
Your choice of colour (see photos): original light blue, green/blue, blue, grey/green, purple/pink, yellow, peach pink or green marl
