It is with great sadness that after many months of consideration, we have decided to close our Folksy shop, with a permanent closing date of 30th November 2024.

A special piece I made for my mother- many have commented on their love of this Winter fruit- Pomegranates are still very much a work in progress...this version may make 2022's list of makes, but for now enjoy a one of a kind, limited piece of fibre art.

Full description
A luxuriously soft, tactile pomegranate brooch, translated using Merino wool roving and a single felting needle.
This piece has been created for the most discerning of individuals who want a completely unique piece from our fruit and vegetable collection.
Mixing various disciplines, we have needle & wet felted the Pomegranate body to hand sew on several seed beads for definition & detail. The branch has been crafted around a memory wire, to give this piece subtle flexibility and finished off with a hand sewn brooch back to avoid the use of adhesives in our bid to be kinder to the planet.
Measurements are approximate due to the nature of the work
