Hedgehogs, an ancient woodland creature loved by myself and many others, surrounded in Myths and Folklore, sadly declining in numbers but helped by many dedicated individuals and organizations.
Over many years I have sculpted these woodland creatures in various sizes and poses, this one is in a climbing pose, fired to a high frost proof temperature making it happy outside or equally happy inside climbing up books or on a shelf.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This Hedgehog has been hand modeled using Stoneware clay, and textured using various pottery tools and found items.
Each one is similar in size and weight, but varies in pose.
Also the body has been left solid, so has a pleasing weight in the hand.
After careful drying, the hedgehog can then be placed in the kiln for a first firing before being painted with various oxides and stoneware glazes to enhance the form, define facial features and textured surfaces.
This Hedgehog is approx 8 cm in length, 5 cm at widest point of body.
