Full description
Another of my gorgeous pens hand made on Orkney, this “top-loaded” twist pen has periwinkle seashells from the beach at Sandwick, South Ronaldsay. Sandwick looks south-west across the Pentland Firth and the entrance to Scapa Flow, one of the largest natural harbours in the world, famous as the resting place of the German Grand Fleet, HMS Royal Oak and many others. The twist-mechanism is built into the top of the pen which has an antique silver finish, polished steel accents and uses a Parker refill, replaced by unscrewing the tip section. The resin-encased seashell body has a gentle taper from the tip section to the wider top, which places the balance of the pen towards the top. It fits perfectly in the hand, and is a joy to write with. The pen is 123mm long about 18mm at its’ widest and weighs 45g.
The price includes post and packing.
