Full description
This fascinating collectors artisan rollerball pen has real limpet and periwinkle shells held within the lime green resin binder. The sea shells in this hand made custom ballpoint pen are from the beach that has formed behind Churchill Barrier No.4, between Burray and South Ronaldsay. The lovely green colour is inspired by the early spring grass that grows on the sand dunes behind the beach, where Little Terns nest in the Orkney summer. The transparency of the colour allows light to refract through this unique pen, illuminating the seashells within. The body has a wide barrel with rounded ends and a long, broad rounded tip section. The cap has parallel sides and a rounded end, and is postable via the triple-lead thread allowing them to be separated quickly and easily. The pen uses a standard Parker refill and the tiny step up (0.25mm) from the section to the body makes this stunning pen very easy to write with. With the cap attached the pen is 138mm long and weighs 46g. With the cap removed for writing it is 124mm long, about 17mm at its’ widest and weighs 33g.
The price includes post and packing.
