Full description
This attractive real seashell twist pen is made on Orkney. Collected from the Sands of Wright on the isthmus between Hoxa Head and South Ronaldsay, the crushed periwinkle and limpet shells contained within the barrel of this pen are held in a very pale sea-green colour resin binder, representing the water in the deeper rock pools around the bay. You will always have a little piece of the Orkney Islands in your pocket when you own this pen, forever reminding you of the endless beauty of the Northern Isles. Like the other pens in this range, the silky-smooth twist action is fitted into the top of the pen and the wide finial gives an easy grip to turn it. It has a very strong double curved pocket clip and a double taper to the tip section. I have made the barrel to have a taper towards the tip, so the lines of the tip flow seamlessly through the length of the pen. The metal components have a gunmetal finish with stainless steel accent rings, tip and clip. It uses a standard Parker refill, which is changed by removing the top finial and unscrewing the twist mechanism - take care not to loose the small spring! The pen is 125mm long, about 17mm at its' widest and weighs 47g.
The price includes post and packing.
