Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting, especially things that have been discarded. Anything that looks lost, forgotten or damaged and not wanted any more. Favourite places of mine to discover bits is rivers or beaches. I am lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. I love recycling centres and charity shops where I can find an old pot or plate, so many interesting pieces, bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
For me using shards of ceramic found in rivers is interesting, exciting and a passion. I love the entire experience from walking, looking, peering into the water and discovering bits and bobs of all sorts. I’ve found many strange and amazing things. All shards used have a letter F for family and S for Shards and a number that relates to order of process.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

in River Tees January 2021
Re-Created into pendant February 2021
In January 2021 I found this wonderful long piece of pot with several other bits in a stream leading into the river Tees, Abbey Road, Barnard Castle. Red pot with cream crackled glaze, curved, elongated. Theres a lot of red pot with cream glaze living in the rivers, all sorts of shapes and sizes but this is the first long piece I’ve found, the shape is exactly as I found it, I only sanded, sealed the rough edges and drilled a hole.
There is something calming about this shape, I have no idea why its just my feeling however, I did ask a friend what words would you use to describe this pendant and she said calm and mythical. At first I decided to just have it hanging on twine as a wall decoration but the shape and length makes for a lovely pendant.
The pendant is hanging on non leather woven cord, 44cm plus 5cm extender.
Shard measures approxiamtely 70mm x 15mm x 6mm.
