Full description
Three fabulous large and very thick pieces of beach glass make up this versatile hanger. It can be used as a suncatcher, hand chimes or mobile, and looks interesting from different angles. The glass is the aquamarine colour of old bottles, from before the time that white glass could be made cheaply. We have tumbled the glass so it is rounded, smooth and finely frosted. Thick pieces of frosted glass catch the light beautifully as can be seen in the photos. If you brush your hand across the chimes the pieces of glass tinkle on one another. We have used frosted glass beads to make the suncatcher more interesting and decorative. The chimes are mounted on silver plate wire.
The sun catcher is 14 cm high and 11 cm wide. It comes with a length of transparent cord.
Our sun catchers are made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each sun catcher is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The sun catcher will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
