Full description
Poppies scattered throughout a cornfield, hand-stitched and felted, decorate the cover of this needle book which is finished with four flannelette 'pages' for your needles and pins.
Hand-dyed fibres in shades of blue, heather purples and green were felted to a commercial felt background, using an embellisher machine. Snippets of yarn, carefully saved from other projects, were felted in place. Simple hand embroidery stitches were used to add details of the windswept trees, heather and bracken curls.
The needle book is lined in a blue and white print fabric - backed with fusible interfacing, and closes with ribbon ties. Two pieces of vintage flannelette provide four 'pages' for your pins and needles.
