Full description
This bookmark features brilliant red poppies and cheerful daisies, in the foreground of a pretty landscape.
Details of the design have been created in simple stitches using a variety of threads - some of them vintage. The background was created by needle felting wool fibres into a panel of quilt backing. The completed backgound has then been stitched to a portion of fabric upcycled from a vintage tablecloth.
The bookmark has been completed by the addition of green satin ribbon tails. The back of the bookmark has been neatened by an additional panel of felt. The edge of the bookmark has been finished by blanket stitching in cotton threads, using colours corresponding to each area of the design.

Length of embroidered panel - 15 cm approx.
Total length - 21 cm approx.
