I had seen similar designs of pendant in the media, but it took me some time to work out how to make a tiered pendant myself and also time in finding pieces of glass that would lend themselves to such a piece. I found the frosted beads before I found the green glass but felt the two worked so well together and this is the result.

Full description

Three similar pieces of rich green seaglass have been mounted vertically on sterling silver wire and separated with sterling silver frosted finish beads to create a unique pendant that is then mounted onto a fine 18 inch sterling silver chain.

The glass was collected from my local beach while dog walking earlier in the year. The sparkling finish to the silver beads adds contrast to the dark green of the glass, making an interesting piece of jewellery.

The complete pendant measures 3.5cm and the widest piece of glass is approx 1.75cm across.

Seaglass is made from glass that enters the sea, either through accident or design. Glass is moved along the seabed by longshore drift. The action of the sea, sand and stones, together with the make-up of the glass before it entered the sea and the time it has spent in the sea makes for a unique piece of glass that eventually is left on the beach by the tide. All the glass I find is then washed and rinsed with a little oil in the water to remove the dried salt deposits before being made into something new.

A gift box is included.
