I was taking part in a Liberty Scrap Challenge on Instagram and had lots of tiny scraps left over from a patchwork purse. A friend had recently tried making fabric from scraps so thought I would give it a go and only wished I had thought of doing this earlier. It could become addictive!

Full description
This truly unique bag is created from small scraps of Liberty lawn fabric in floral designs. They are sandwiched between a piece of fleece backed calico and fine net and machine embroidered to hold them in place. A whole new piece of fabric is created. The front of the bag is decorated with some half hexagons that were left over from a purse pattern and gives the effect of bunting. The top of the hexagons have been machine stitched in place and I have hand stitched the rest of the shape to the pouch.
The back of the pouch is created from strips of the same Liberty fabric using the quilt as you go technique. A pale blue nylon all purpose zip has been used for closure.
The lining is again Liberty lawn fabric in two floral designs, see pictures. The whole piece is in mainly shades of blue and pink with a touch of mustard.
Perfect for a Liberty fabric lover or someone that appreciates a recycled item.
