Remember that cooking program where the chefs are given a bag of ingredients by the guests and see what they can make with it? Well this Trinket box was very much like that. I pulled out many different types of scrap wood from my ever increasing pile, chose the pieces that I thought would make for an interesting box. I know that I wanted to make a pattern of some sort just to make it more interesting and perhaps eye catching. The zig zag pattern came to me later on. I had never tried it before. So here would be be a first time effort for me. I also thought that on this occasion it might make a nice change to keep it simple this time and not put any hinges on. An for once...it did make a refreshing change.

Wooden Trinket Box with a Zig Zag pattern effect with the timber.
It is made from a number of solid hard woods With a solid oak lid. This could be used as a Jewellery or trinket box but probably more the later.
This wooden trinket box size is 26.4 cm in length, 13.6 cm wide and stands (from bottom to top of handle ) roughly 95 cm high. The depth of the trinket box is 51 cm.
The bottom of the wooden box has 4 small velvet padded feet underneath.
This could make an ideal wood anniversary gift, Birthday gift, Mothers day gift.
