The daffodil is a very elegant and proud flower, with its bright sunny petals and distinctive trumpet, as though its announcing the arrival of spring with a fanfare!
Due to its early arrival in the year it has been used to celebrate St Davids day, on the 1st of March, possibly as a more fragrant symbol than the traditional leek! It has now been adopted as the national flower and many of the welsh wear it and love it in this manner.
Here i have celebrated the daffodil and spring in my own way by creating this necklace from polymer clay. Each petal and leaf has been sculpted by hand using different coloured clay's and placed on a colour blended polymer clay background. Once baked its given a silk varnish finish.
The 18 inch snake chain is 925 sterling silver, the disc measures about 2.5cm across at its widest and it will be sent to you in a smart black gift box - the perfect present for any welsh girl or appreciator of beautiful flowers :)
As they are all made by hand there will be small differences between each one, making them truly individual and unique.
Although these will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for, if you would like to receive them in time for Christmas day please order no later than Friday 18th December...although there can be no guarantees with Christmas post delays playing a factor, so its always best to order swiftly and allow as much time as possible to avoid disappointment.
