The popular Boletus edulis fungus (also known as Cep, Porcini or Penny Bun) appear in woodlands between August and November.
The Boletus family are distinct due to having pores that look like sponge, rather than the usual mushroom gills, and the Cep in particular has a cap that looks uncannily like a fat tasty bun - hence its common name "Penny Bun".
These Penny bun earrings have been hand made in polymer clay, carefully sculpted and textured and coloured with pastels before being baked and then given a protective varnish. They hang on hypo-allergenic surgical steel ear wires and come in a smart black gift box - a perfect present for the mushroom hunter in your life!
