I love fungi, their structure fascinates me. These were growing on an old stump in our local garden centre a few years ago, but it took some time to get up the courage to try carving them! It took some time, and then it took a while to get the right materials together to do it justice in printing. I have used heavy cartridge paper as I was having trouble getting all of the fine detail to take properly on my usual heavy printing paper. I'm glad to have finally got a result that I'm pleased with, although I would like to attempt some colour in a future print run.

Full description
This is an open-edition hand-printed image from a hand-carved block of lino.
It is printed on 200gsm cartridge paper with black Caligo Safe-Wash oil based ink.
The printed area measures 20.5cm x 15.3cm, on paper measuring approx 29.5cm x 20.5cm.
Each print is titled and signed, and unique due to its individually handmade origin.
