I love tea and tea time and this napkin seemed to me to sum up an English afternoon tea for two.
It inspired me to decorate a number of useful items for the kitchen, including this chalk board.

Full description
I painted this chalkboard in white with a soft crackle finish to give it a country and shabby chic look. I then decorated it with a lovely clean/crisp napkin decoupage design of a blue tea pot and two cups and saucers. I then varnished twice for protection.
The board measures 12" by 17.75" (30 x 45 cms); the writing area is 10.25" x 11.75" (26 x 30 cms) and on the back of the board there are two fixings on the top corners for hanging. (On my own board, I also use one these fixings to tie a piece of string with chalk and then drape this over the front of the board, which looks even more country).
