Miss Digby (the village newcomer) was off to the Harlequin festival, her new bell tent packed and fancy dress costume ready, she made final preparations by running up her bunting to festoon the tall tree she camped under with Felix and his crew. This was upcycled heaven, she had batiked and embroidered and snipped and cut for hours. A far cry from her last bunting collaboration with Mrs Fooks Jones (thrice winner of the WI victoria sponge competition) for the Royal wedding village garden party.
The next time these flags will flutter she thought dreamily as she folded them up and placed them in the bag, will be in a wonderful field with the lively beat of Madam Laycock drifting across the site.....heaven.....endless summer

I love this! I did this in the summer and adored the colours and the fabric waftiness of the flags. These are handpainted individually produced bunting motif on an earthenware mug. The colours are very summery with spots and stripes, batik effect designs on the fabric and the bunting is tied on onto the handle. I have listed 5 of these mugs, I enjoyed making them! they are all individual so will differ slightly. I have done this style of bunting on cake stands and jugs, if you would like these to be personalised please look on the personalised mugs listings, I can turn orders around within 10 days, often sooner.
I put a red heart on the top of each handle and back stamp the bottom and entitle the piece - 'Endless Summer'
This mug is 8cm high and 8cm across and holds 8 oz
I use food safe underglaze colour and lead free earthenware glaze and fire to earthen ware temperatures.
I attach a care and information label to the handle with jute string and enclose an artists bio with the package.
I wrap in tissue then use recycled materials and send out using first class recorded delivery
