Babies' comfort and safety, and care for the environment are at the heart of my WestNest collections.

When we found that my sister’s baby was allergic to synthetic fabrics and detergents, I realised how difficult was to buy organic certified clothes and accessories for babies and children. I have then decided to handmade them myself and started shopping around for the best organic certified natural yarns.

I use only natural, organic and eco-friendly yarns suitable for babies. Babies have very sensitive skin and need natural materials that are extra soft, hypoallergenic, itch-free, breathable, moisture absorbent, lightweight and safe.

All the yarns I used are eco-friendly and GOTS® or OEKO-TEX® certified.
These international certifications mean no chemicals, no harmful substances or toxic dyes, no cruelty, no pollution, and organic, sustainable and ethical production with no impact on the environment. They set the benchmark for textile safety for human use, from yarn to finished product. Happy green babies!

Organic, eco-friendly slow fashion clothes are still more expensive than acrylic and synthetic, and I think this is unfair. Organic certified clothes should be the norm rather than the exception, and should be affordable too, that’s why I try to keep my prices as low as possible, hoping that organic cotton, wool and fabrics will be widespread and widely and easily available in the near future.

All my creations are original and handmade by crochet in one single piece with no needle seams or knots that can harm delicate young skin. As they're all individually design and created, they are all different and unique.
The booties are available in two models: a little shoe and a cute bootie with higher upper part for extra warmth. Both have soft bows made by crochet to ensure they stay comfortably on the little feet.

I keep my creations as simple as possible, with no buttons, pearls, ribbons or decorations that could be harmful and dangerous for the safety of your baby.

Packaging
The packaging doesn’t need to be elaborate and bulky. My packaging is simple, natural, practical and fully recyclable, but ideal for gifting at the same time. You’ll receive your items carefully wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a 100% recyclable brown paper bag handmade by myself, together with the care instructions. They are delivered in a fully recyclable and PEFC certified brown paper envelope.
