My privacy policy

I Little Lady Designs am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.

When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Folksy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on Folksy, I will receive your username and email address.

The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:

• With Folksy to comply with my obligations.

• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.

• To comply with legal or tax obligations.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.

Crafting my way through FND with various techniques, producing items for you to simply love.

Hey, my name is Samantha, I was diagnosed with FND in March 2020. However, my journey began the previous March following a car accident on my journey to work, nothing has been the same since.

Due to a deterioration in my physical ability over a period of months I had no choice but to retire from my job as a Cancer Specialist Nurse. Just a few months before I won 'Nurse of The Year', my career was developing as I was planning. Retiring so young was devastating for me, life completely fell apart.

FND is a condition which means the messages between the brain and nervous system become disconnected, leaving you to manage symptoms such as paralysis, tremors, inability to talk and seizures to name a few. Each days presents a variety of symptoms and intensity. FND takes so much from you, emotionally, physically and cognitively. I felt so lonely, I had lost my identity, my role within the home and I felt a complete burden to my incredibly supportive family.

I reached out to FNDHOPEUK on many occasions and received nothing short of incredible. With this help and my recent intensive rehabilitation programme feel I can start slowly moving forwards. I know life will never be the same, how can it be? However, I now see myself as an adaption of me. I may need aids and continual support, but FND will never define who I truly am.

As part of my ongoing therapy discovered crafting. I never imagined it would lead to where I am now. Crafting is cited to help FND symptoms, but, to me its more than that. I feel by crafting I am making someone smile; therefore, I am still making a difference, just like Cancer Nursing.

I decided to become a non-profit crafter for FNDHOPEUK as a thank you for the incredible support and literature. I feel incredibly passionate about raising awareness and educating others, we need treatment and care pathways. What better way than to craft? Popping literature in the gifts is a great way to reach out to so many. With this in mind will have a profit margin of around 20% from the crafts I sell as I will need to deduct monies for materials. I will however, host raffles and other events along the way to boost my target.

I hope my new online store will inspire others. I firmly believe 'the best is yet to come'.

I purchased these frames to put pictures of my beautiful son who died suddenly at 13. He was an animal lover and ran his own wildlife page to help educate others on how to protect our wildlife, so these frames could not be more perfect
