Hiya Laura here at L1 Custom Prints. I am a mother of 4 young children who loves all things craft. In 2020 during the first lockdown i decided to create my own business which was called LJE Custom Prints and Gifts. I sold all things persobalised. Mostly workwear and football strips for local clubs. I was working full time and struggled finding a work life balance and had zero ability to say no. I worked almost 24 hours a day. With three young kids it was very hard however i had a suportive husband and loved what i did. In 2023 we found out we were expecting baby no4 and with a difficult pregnancy and a house move i decided to take a step away from work and concentrate on family. I sold all my equiptment and enjoyed the break. However i constantly found myself missing and thinking about the printing business. I decided in december 2024 i wanted to start again. From scratch. New business name, new look, the works. I was going to start buying bits and bobs over the coming year but here enters surportive amazing husband and gifted me my main requirements for christmas. Cricuit machine etc. After new year 2025 i set up my new facebook page, etsy and instagram and to my complete shock (and a little terror) i instantly recieved messages from previous customers saying lovely things like aww i was hoping you would do this again and im glad your back i need this etc. I was shook to the core but dived right in and im loving it. BI have set clear boundries on my work life balance and so far its fitting into my life perfectly. I currently have a few different products available from personalised bix frames, hen party and stag party items and even baby announcement items. I make custom work wear and club merch and pride myself on selling the best quality of items rather than the cheapest. I am incredibly friendly and live a chitchat. My two wee dogs are sick of listening to me when no one else will!!
