I was very fortunate to grow up in a creative household with a dad as a graphic designer and painter and a mum dabbling in pottery and Batik. Thinking back, I think I was given a paintbrush before I could crawl! There was always stacks of paper laying about, big canvases, brushes, paints and an array of rainbow colour pencils and charcoal. Being in my dad’s studio was being like a kid in a candy store.
My first memory of seeing a mosaic was a plate in my grandmothers farm house in south Africa, it was made out of colourful, shiny glass pebbles with grey grout. My grandmother would let me sit on a chair and hold the plate very carefully on my lap, I remembered staring at this plate as a little girl for hours, mesmerised by the beautiful colours and the soft touch of the pebbles.
Being creative makes me happy. I like bright colours and love to work in glass and unglazed ceramic tiles.
Custom Signs - You will find various templates which you can choose from. Because each sign is custom made for you, you can choose your favourite colours and preferred house number (or name).
