I'm Jo, the creater of very special gold shells which are treasured by many.
Working as a specialist gilder in Norfolk, my work is varied, often taking me to amazing historic buildings in the UK and further afield.
Restoration and conservation of gilded frames, furniture, interiors and ecclesiastical objects has kept me busy for almost 30 years.
Contemporary designer furniture and high end yacht interiors have also featured heavily in my work history.

Four years ago I started to experiment with a small collection of gilded local oyster shells. Always using traditional methods and materials as well as fine quality high carat gold.
I was thrilled with the results and my shells now sell far and wide.
My customers truly fall in love with them!
This has gradually grown into a large collection of gilded vintage shells, starfish, urchins, botanicals and walnuts!
I will be be listening more of the above soon.
I work in small batches and of course each piece is totally unique.
