BobbinAlongwithHeather is a heartfelt sewing & embroidery venture born from a tradition passed down by my skilled mother-in-law, who taught me to hand sew back in 2014 & that ignited in me a love of crafting art through stitches!

What began with hand-sewn Christmas decorations, wreaths & stockings evolved in early 2020 when my husband surprised me with my first sewing machine for my birthday. The pandemic & first ever lockdown followed just 4 days after my birthday, which meant my first project on the machine was learning to make essential face masks - quickly and a lot of them!

However, 2023 brought a game-changer – when my husband gifted me my first embroidery machine for my birthday, which fuelled a newfound passion.
Nowadays I love creating new embroidery pieces & making keepsakes.
I’m still learning day by day but so far I’ve had the opportunity to make several personalised, embroidered treasures for people i.e. baby bibs, comforters, blankets, teddies, towels, napkins, handkerchiefs, clothes & jackets. The opportunities are endless!
