Here at The Cornish Crow & Hare we LOVE quirky and highly detailed Paint at home ceramic light up lanterns. We truly hope you'll love painting our items as much as we do!

Hello there, we're two friends who fell in LOVE with painting pottery pieces at home.
We started off painting basic models and then found ourselves looking around for some more intricate and challenging ceramics to paint. Here's where, after much research we found our lovely ceramicist partner Lesley who hand pours most of our lantern designs for us.
Our light up designs are quirky and highly detailed but a joy to paint. Our magical lanterns are easily painted with acrylic paints in the comfort of your own home. There's no need to fire them in a kiln (although they can be glazed and fired) but we much prefer to paint them with easy to use acrylic paints, allow to dry and then varnish for a fabulous finish.
Our lanterns and lamps are easily lit with battery operated fairy lights and look truly magical at night.
Our love of ready to paint pottery goes hand in hand with our other passion...Christmas!! Our vintage style “Light ‘em ups” classic ceramic Christmas trees are poured into vintage mold designs and come complete with tiny plastic ‘bulbs’ just as the original ones did. We love the fact that since the 1950’s when “Light ‘em up Christmas trees” first appeared in America, the placing of the bulbs has become a much-loved Christmas tradition for excited younger members of the family and many of these hand painted ceramic trees are passed down through the generations as family heirlooms.
We happily work out of our ceramics studio in a converted cattery in glorious North Cornwall and between us we own 5 cats, 1 dog and 2 husbands!
