Hello, I'm Lynne and started making jewellery as a hobby a few years ago after I got made redundant. I never expected to make any money out of it and was quite gobsmacked when family and friends started asking me to make items for them. I then decided to have a go at selling to the public, first with a jewellery party (with much wine!) at home, then a couple of craft fairs, and eventually progressed to ebay, Folksy and Facebook where I'm lucky enough to have quite a few loyal customers. I know I'll get never rich from it, as I like to keep my prices low, but I love doing it and it still feels like a hobby. All the items in my Folksy shop are ready to be posted within 24 hours, but I'm also very happy to do custom orders. The postage and packing includes first class postage, an organza gift bag and the padded envelope.
With regard to GDPR, I do not have a mailing list and do not keep any emails from customers which contain addresses or other personal information, but I do keep a list of records with the customer's name, the item/s purchased, and the amount. This is a handwritten record and the purchase details do not appear online anywhere except on my Paypal account which I obviously can't delete!
