I have designed and crafted using fabric and yarn for more than 40 years, inspired by my American heritage and wonderful Aunt Maude, a skilled seamstress and quilter. Like many I was taught a range of skills by my mother and I embroider, knit, crochet and sew.
I joined Folksy to sell curated packages of fabric and buttons for the crafter, which I do, but I have been inspired by the Folksy community to embrace my making and design skills.
I now work in a variety of media including embroidery, collage and paint to make colourful functional pieces incorporating my art works. My aim is to make items that people can use as well as look at and enjoy.
I am now proud to say I am a designer/maker and I hope you like my pieces.
