Hi, I am Kerstin and I am the woman behind Our pretty Universe. Back in 2014, I decided to open my shop on Folksy and thanks to my lovely customers I was able to grow into a micro business that can partly support me and my family. I absolutely love what I do and I hope that this is reflected in my jewellery collections.
I am an artist and jewellery maker, living in Scotland and this is how I run my business: I work from home in my small studio where I make all the jewellery that you can see in my shop. All my pieces are made to order. I do not have a large stock and only make small jewellery collections to treasure the unique and handmade character of each piece of jewellery. I use materials like polymer clay, gold leaf, precious metals, crystals, sea glass and always try to reuse and recycle as much as possible to avoid waste. I believe in the “shop small and independent” movement that is more sustainable than mass produced items which you can find all over the world in their millions.
I want all my customers to look beautiful and to feel good about the way my jewellery was made: never mass-produced, never boring and always handmade by me, Kerstin.
