There is no additional postage charge across my shop at checkout, prints under £50 are sent by first class Royal Mail, prints over £50 are shipped tracked 48hr with Royal Mail, prints over £100 are shipped by courier. I aim to post all orders on the next working day and always within three working days.

If you are buying a print as a gift and you would like it sent directly to the recipient, I can add a handwritten note with your message at no extra charge. Please just add a note at checkout telling me what message you would like me to write in the note.

Unfortunately I have decided to no longer ship overseas due to the complexities and costs.

Hi I'm Alex and I am the artist & printmaker behind MegaLilyDesign. I have developed my practice to be mainly focused on Linocut Printmaking. I simply love the medium of printmaking and the results that can be achieved with simple tools. My main inspirations are from the natural world, including the mysterious ways that human's interact with it.

Having worked first in the theatre as a Stage Manager and then for more than 20 years in nursing, I have now become a full time printmaker. Art had always been in my blood, my Dad was a professional artist, so a few years back I found myself with most of his painting equipment and decided to take a one year part time fine art course to hone my skills. I discovered the magic of printmaking and haven't looked back since.

Opening my Folksy shop was a wonderful step, I love being part of the Folksy community. Many of my prints are open editions making them an affordable way to own tiny original artworks. Other prints are in limited editions or reduction prints which make a wonderful special treat or gift for any art lover.

I work from my home studio in Hove and I can be found out and about at various markets & fairs as well as Open House and Art Trail events - perhaps see you at one of these, do say hello, I love chatting about all things lino printing!

I now run lino cutting workshops in Pulborough at Upside Down Tree Studio, just hop over to my website for more details. The workshops are aimed at beginners and those with some basic experience, so why not come along and learn how to create your own lino cut prints.
