‘Spring Fox’ Print – Origin...
Kathryn.Prints£38.00
Lino printmaking is a completely hand made process, giving the final artwork a character and authenticity completely unlike a digital reproduction. From hand carving the relief printing block, to the hand burnishing of the final print, it’s quite a special moment to pull back the paper of that first print. All artwork is produced in it’s original medium, signed by the artist and will feature variations and signs of the nature of this process.

Kathryn is an artist and printmaker living and working in Northamptonshire, working primarily with relief printmaking in lino.
A lifelong creative with a Fine Art background having studied at Loughborough University, most days I can be found in my home studio, with a hot mug of tea on the desk and my studio assistant - a sleeping cat on the windowsill.
Immersed in the sensory process of printmaking, I relish every step- from filling sketchbooks to the meditative nature of carving a new block, and ultimately that first magical pull of a print revealing itself for the first time. You never quite know what surprises you will uncover.
In order to be as eco-friendly as possible I use traditional grey lino. Made from linseed oil, cork and backed with hessian it is therefore100% compostable. All prints use quality acid free paper and UK-made oil-based inks to ensure light-fastness and quality over time.
