A place for Thrifty, Up-cycled, Recycled and Redesigned Handmade Craft
June’s happy, sunny, family of crafters. I first began card making in 2005 and somehow moved onto Jewellery - Earrings, Necklaces, Bracket, but mainly Earrings of which I now have quite a few. My mum and her friends made the Silk Flower arrangements for my wedding and so I began to make them with her as a way of using up the spare baskets that I had around and then this craft just expanded from there. We have a varied assortment of these. We also have Knitwear and Embroidery craft which have been mainly made by both of us. I find that I can go into a shop and see a beaded item or belt for example and I take it apart in my mind and make it into all kinds of new things. I have said to my friends that if you show a crafter person a new craft idea they will usually go away and make the item and adapted it into their own style and liking.
Our products are mainly gathered from recycled stock. In some cases redesigned to give it a new look and feel. Our gifts are: Sunrise Gems - Thrifty fashion jewellery- mainly earrings, with some bracelets, necklaces and more; A Variety of Craft - Greeting Cards, Assorted Bookmarks and Tags for different occasions; Plus: Beaded Embroidery, Woollens, Table Mats, Pebble Friends and more; Floral Craft – Silk Flower arrangements with Christmas arrangements, and Floral Decorations; Chapter and Verse – Creative Writing Poetry, Prayer and lots more.
