My name is Cheryl, and I'm the owner, designer and creator behind House Of Pom Poms.
From a young age, I've been captivated by the world of crafting. There's something truly magical about transforming raw materials into beautiful, meaningful creations. The joy of making something with my own hands and knowing that it could bring happiness to others has always been my driving force.
Every venture has a unique beginning, a spark that ignites a creative journey. For me, it all started with a simple task in 2017 – decorating a marquee for my mother's birthday party. Little did I know that this would be the seed that blossomed into my dream career.
The challenge was set: transform the marquee into a captivating space that would reflect the joy and celebration of the occasion. After much contemplation, I stumbled upon the idea of using pom poms – those fluffy, delightful creations that can instantly add flair to any space.
With a sense of determination, I embarked on crafting oversized, impactful pom poms that would set the stage for a memorable event.
Little did I anticipate the response that would follow: the resounding chorus of "You should sell these!"
And so, in July 2017, House Of Pom Poms was born.
I vividly recall the excitement of receiving my first order. It was a moment that marked the beginning of a new chapter – a chapter that led me on a path of discovery, creativity, and evolution. As House Of Pom Poms continued to grow, I soon realized that my artistic range needed to expand beyond the realm of pom poms.
Over time, my products evolved and diversified, each piece reflecting the same dedication and artistic passion that birthed those first pom poms. While the original fluffy wonders may have gently fallen off the stage, I chose to carry their memory forward by preserving the name that holds so much significance.
In 2018, a wonderful opportunity knocked on my door – the chance to turn my passion into a business by working full-time on my business. Without hesitation, I seized the moment and embarked on this incredible journey. Since then, every day has been an adventure filled with creativity, dedication, and hard work.
One of the most rewarding aspects of running my own business is the knowledge that I'm able to brighten someone's day through my creations. There's nothing quite like the feeling of sending out a carefully packaged parcel, knowing that it will bring a smile to its recipient's face. Whether it's a heartfelt gift for a loved one or a little treat for oneself, I take immense pride in knowing that my crafts play a part in making moments special.
But my journey wouldn't be complete without mentioning the incredible customers I've had the pleasure of working with. Each interaction, message, and review fills my heart with gratitude and reminds me of the genuine connections that can be forged through the love of art and creativity. It's an honour to be a part of your celebrations, milestones, and everyday joys.
As I look toward the future, I'm filled with excitement for the many more experiences that await. The journey is a continuously evolving one, and I can't wait to see where my imagination and dedication will take me next.
