About Fran Cornish Art

Fran Cornish Art

Wheel thrown and hand sculpted ceramics, and other art too.

I am an artist and maker from Staffordshire, U.K., and I have been creating for as long as I can remember. I work from a small home studio which is where I'm usually found covered in clay or paint. I have a BA(hons) degree in Illustration and began my creative career as a freelance illustrator; I still enjoy drawing and painting so you may see these pop up in my shop from time to time. As well as other crafts!

I'm a long time user of air dry clay but began to explore ceramics in 2022 and was quickly hooked. I really enjoy creating wheel thrown pottery as much as a hand sculpted piece so hope to merge both. Each piece is designed, created, trimmed, dried, sanded, fired, glazed, and fired again so please be assured care is taken at every step to produce something that can be enjoyed forever.
