Peg dolls! History, literature and pop culture.

Hello!
I started off making little painted peg dolls as gifts for family, and started getting requests. My peg dolls got slightly bigger, much more detailed and elaborate and now I've painted hundreds.
Historical figures (especially the Tudors) are absolutely the most popular but I have done all kinds of requests from a range of eras.
I studied costume design at college, and by making these on a small scale, it means no sewing machine or yards of fabric. Perfect!

I do have cats, two! We live with my partner and son in the very heart of the Cotswolds.

Most of my historical figures are based on contemporary portraits, or representation of costume of the time..
Details may vary from photo depending on materials available but will be as close to the photo depiction as possible.
