Hello there and welcome to my online shop run by me, Hesta aka Mrs Bodkin, an artist and horticulturalist celebrating the seasons in Devon. My creativity comes from my parents and my love of nature, which I hope you can feel woven through all my work – from my felted birds nests, allotment skirts, floral paintings and my inky girls.
I am dyslexic and when I was at school it wasn't really recognised. I was left at the back with the nature table and a tin of paints. I left school and went on to study horticulture for many happy years, still always making, sewing and painting alongside. Now I make, paint, stitch and create with flowers from my small garden, home in Devon, which I share with Mr Bodkin, two teenagers we adopted as babies many years ago, If I’m not working at home, you will find me at the allotment, painting or taking photographs. My larger work can be found in the two main galleries that represent my work.

Soooo in love with this little yellow shoe found amongst the bluebells. This artist creates the most beautiful folk-style art. I’ve bought lots of paintings over the years. I just find them joyous. I think that is possibly Bodkin shining thru her art because she is such a genuinely good person.
