My name is Mel and one of my daughters calls me Marge, after a back injury in 2022 I found myself doing a lot more crochet, knitting and making presents to give.
My love of weaving also returned a new found love of a hobby I started in 2015 & had to put aside in 2019.
After spending a whole year making gifts and sending them "Affectionately" to my family and friends the name of the shop was born in 2024 " Affectionately Marge"
My back is healing and I also want to keep on making things I love so here I will share my Hand woven textiles made with care and listed for you to enjoy too.
I have taken up spinning and making my own yarn so most of my makes will include hand spun yarn among other yarn too. I work from my studio formally known as the shed in the garden on my loom, I do hope you will find something you love and tell your friends too. Going forward I hope this will become what I do now!
