If I find a piece of vintage embroidered linen that is past it's best, I salvage what I can from it and incorporate it into new items to be enjoyed every day. This tablecloth was laundered before I began working with it.

Full description
I made this make up bag using fabric salvaged from a vintage hand embroidered tablecloth which was no longer fit for purpose. The embroidery features delicate sprays of flowers with decorative cut work and drawn thread work. I began by backing the cut work with dark pink fabric and then backed the fabric with fusible fleece, adding rows of machine quilting stitches for stability and extra body. The back also features a touch of the reclaimed embroidery.
Lined with a beautiful Laura Ashley vintage print in navy blue. It has a light blue/grey zip across the top which is finished with a fabric tab, with a fabric loop inserted into one side in case you want to add a charm, strap or key ring.
It is a flat style, measuring approximately 17cm x 12cm.
This item is ready to ship. I use second class post in order to keep postage as low as possible, please get in touch if you need it posted first class. Your item will be wrapped in new tissue paper whilst I will use recycled outer packaging if possible.
