Everyone loves Cherry Blossom and I am no exception. My own, white blood tree was yet to flower when I made this piece so I took inspiration from my neighbour’s. I must have looked very suspicious, casually taking photos on a dog walk!

Full description
This original floral art is created in mosaic and features a Cherry Tree branch with pink blossom on a pistachio green background. Each petal is hand cut from pastel pink and white tiles and arranged on the branch reaching upwards to fill the A5 panel. The knotty wood is illustrated with irregular lengths of charcoal greys and the young shoots are represented by tiny shards of brick red tile.
I use beautiful Winckelmans tiles which are matt ceramic and come in soft muted tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire.
Measures 21cm x 16cm x 2.5cm
Due to the wooden frame, this art is suitable for display indoors only.
Each wall plaque is one of a kind but I am able to make more in a similar colour palette on request. I am also open to commissions, just contact me for a chat.
