This Hand Embroidered Emmeline Brooch celebrates Emmeline Pankhurst (Emily), one of the leaders of the Suffragette, Votes for Women Movement, in the colours of the Suffragette Movement…..Purple for Dignity, Green for Hope, White for Purity.
The abstract design of this brooch has a purple button, with a hidden flower, sewn onto circles of white, purple and green felt, hand embroidered with Lazy Daisy, Fly and Blanket Stitches and seed beads in Suffragette colours.
This Hand Embroidered Emmeline Brooch is 2 inches or 5 centimetres in size. …….a nice wearable size. A metal brooch pin with a safety catch for secure wear is sewn on the back.
This brooch is gift wrapped in an organza bag, decorated with a purple button. Also protective bag to keep the brooch in when not worn. An ideal birthday, friendship, thank you or Mother’s Day gift.
